SDLP lost again on Shared Future

For all its fine talk about a “Shared Future”, the SDLP continues to embarrass itself on the subject.

Coming just a week after the party of John Hume started ranting about the cost of honorary degrees, you would have thought they would have been keen to avoid further embarrassment. But apparently not…

South Belfast MLA Conall McDevitt says of Alliance’s Anna Lo this: “Ms Lo clearly doesn’t understand the importance of diversity and the opportunity to celebrate that in a positive way.”

Ay, that’s right Conall, former head of the Chinese Welfare Association Anna Lo, resident of Northern Ireland since 1974, hasn’t a clue about celebrating diversity…

Did it ever strike Conall or his colleagues that maybe, just maybe, Anna knows somewhat more about the subject than they do?!
