Robert F. Kennedy died 45 years ago today – on the eve, as it happens, of Northern Ireland’s generation-long “Troubles”.

Given what has happened since December on the streets of Belfast, and the “SpAds Bill” which passed this week, we may let his words speak for themselves.

    You are, of course, totally correct in what you say, No wrongs have ever been righted by violence, riots or civil disorder . Which is why I am very cross indeed with Blair and the Republican Movement. Here we are, years later, “still” being attacked by barberous natives!
